It came from South Africa, but it grows in so many of the island's gardens that it feels local.
Pride of Madeira
The only flower in the collection that belongs to Madeira alone: it grows wild on this island and nowhere else. In spring its blue-violet spikes cover the slopes.
Hibiscus
Thanks to the mild climate it flowers almost all year in hedges and gardens — the easiest flower to spot.
Anthurium
Its glossy, heart-shaped leaf is unmistakable. You'll find it on the flower stalls of the Mercado dos Lavradores.
Protea

We keep t-shirts and hoodies in several sizes and colours, ready to embroider. Stock changes, so we confirm the available colours and sizes when you message us.
How long does it take?
We embroider in 2–3 working days. Then add postage: usually 2–5 working days within Portugal and 5–10 working days to the rest of Europe. You can also pick up at our studio in Funchal.
Do you ship outside Portugal?
Yes, across Europe (€9.90). Within Portugal, shipping is €4.90. For other destinations, just ask.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer or MB WAY. We issue an invoice, with your tax number if you need one.
Is this traditional Madeira embroidery?
No — and we like to be clear about it. Traditional Madeira embroidery (Bordado Madeira) is stitched by hand, has centuries of history and is certified by IVBAM with a seal of guarantee. Our pieces are machine-embroidered in our Funchal studio, with designs inspired by the island. Two different traditions.
What if I want my own design?
